How to manage Microsoft Azure Invoice Creation and Usage Report setting in the automation platform?

 

The following section will help you understand the settings related to Microsoft Azure Invoice creation and usage report in the automation platform.

Azure Rate Card Currency Settings

Home >> Settings >> Products/Services >> MS Office 365 Products >> Azure Rate Card

- Go to Settings.

- Under Products & Services tab, click on MS Office 365 Products.

- From here, click on Azure Rate Card. On the newly opened page, click on Azure Rate Card Currency Setting.

- Select Service Provider base currency from the drop down.

Azure rate card Exchange Rate

It will appear when Azure rate card currency is not available, or base currency is not same as Azure rate card portal (according to region).

MSCSP Portal exchange rate

It will appear when base currency does not match the currency available in the MSCSP portal (according to region).

View Azure Rate Card

Home >> Settings > Products/Services >> MS Office 365 Products >> Azure Rate Card

- Select the Month and Year from the dropdown.

- Click on Search button.

A list will appear in the following sequence - Effective Date - Meter Category - Meter Subcategory - Region - Name - Resource ID - Units - Tags - Included Quantities - Minimum Value - Rate.

The list will display data for the current and the previous months.

Azure Cron

Six crons will run in the automation platform:

  • Azure Rate Card Fetch Cron

Azure Rate Card Fetch Cron will run once in a day. It will fetch the Azure Rate Card sheet.

  • Azure Billing Report Cron

Azure Billing Report Cron will run daily to check if the billing usage has already been generated for that billing period or not. In case it is not generated, the cron will fetch the billing usage details for active/suspended azure subscriptions using partner centre API and generate the report in the Automation Platform.

  • Azure Estimated Usage Report Cron

Azure Estimated Usage Report Cron will run daily to check if the estimated usage has already been generated for that billing period or not. In case it is not generated, the cron will fetch the estimated usage report for active/suspended azure subscriptions and generate the report in the Automation Platform.

Extra columns are added in Estimated Usage Report: Resource Type, Resource Group, Tag, Resource URI).

  • Azure Notifications Cron

Azure Notification cron will run daily to calculate the usage of the service and send notification to him when the usage reaches a defined limit. When the usage reaches 100%, the service gets suspended automatically.

  • Azure Usage Invoice Generation Cron

Azure Usage Invoice Generation Cron will run daily to check if the invoice for azure usage has already been generated for that billing period or not. In case it is not generated, the cron will create invoice for related billing period for all active/suspended azure subscriptions in the Automation Platform.

  • Azure Unbilled Usage Report Cron

Azure Unbilled Usage Report Cron will fetch azure unbilled usage of the current month billing period (this period will be the number of days for which invoice is not yet generated). The report will be generated based on the active/suspended azure subscriptions.

Check Azure Usage from the Admin Panel

The admin can check the usage report from the admin panel as well.

Under the products and services tab, you can find the service details of Azure:

- Click on the Service to open it.

- Under this, you will find Azure Billing/Usages Report Tab, click to open it.

- Select the Date Range (From - To), Column List and Report Type (billing report, estimated usages report or estimated unbilled usages report), and view the details.

- Select the columns from the selection list. The selected columns will be displayed in the report & export section.

- You can also click on “Export To Excel” button to directly export the usage details into excel.

NOTE:

· If invoices are not generated or final billing is not made for current billing period, the billing report will contain the unbilled usage only.

· If invoices are generated and final billing is made for current billing period, the billing report will contain billed usages.

· Date filter will appear in billing and estimated usages report only.

Check Azure Usage from the Member Panel

- Login to Customer Panel.

- Go to My Services.

- Click on Current Services.

- Click on Azure Service.

- Under this, you will find Usage Info Tab, click to open it.

- Select the Date Range (From - To) and Report Type (billing report, estimated usages report or estimated unbilled usages report), and view the usages report details.

- You can also click on “Export To Excel” button to directly export the usage details into excel.

NOTE:

· Date filter will appear in billing and estimated usages report only.

· Column selection list will not be displayed in member panel. This list in the report and export section will be displayed through the default configuration.

Azure Billing Report

Home >> Reports >> Billing >> Azure Billing Report

  • Click on Azure Billing Report under Billing in the Reports dropdown.

  • Select the Date Range (From - To) and Report Type (billing report or estimated usages report).

  • Click on Get Usage.

  • A list will appear. You can download the details using the Download button provided in front of the date period.

  • The downloaded report will display options based on report type.

Azure Threshold

The service provider can set limit for his partner and his end clients respectively. While, the partner can set the limit only for his end customer.

To set notification mails as per the used credit limit:

Home >> Settings >> Products/Services >> Service Alerts >> Add Service Alerts

- Click on the Settings icon (gear-shaped) on the home page.

- Click on Service Alerts from the Products/Services section.

- From here, click on Add Service Alerts.

To add service alerts:

- Select the product group from the respective drop-down.

- Set the notification mails limit. (defined in percentages)

- Set the limit beyond which suspension action and notification mail will be sent. (defined in percentages)

- Set the limit beyond which termination action and notification mail will be sent.(defined in percentages)
