Xero Integration

Overview

Home >> Settings >> Miscellaneous Settings >> Xero Configuration

To configure Xero:

  • Go to Settings.

  • Click on Miscellaneous Settings in the Miscellaneous section.

 

  • Click Xero Configuration tab.

  • Two application types named, Private and Public will be shown.

To generate Xero Consumer Private Key and Xero Consumer Private Secret Key, you need to have Xero Certificate Keys, which will be provided by Xero.

  • Select the Application Type.

  • Fill the required details as provided by the Xero panel and click on Submit.

  • Enable the required Webhooks settings.

  • Follow these steps to set up Webhooks.

How to setup the automation platform with Xero?

Add tax rate in Xero

To add tax rate:

  • Navigate to Xero Panel >> Accounting >> Advanced >> Tax Rates

  • Click on New Tax Rate.

  • Fill the required details here. (Refer screenshot above)

  • You may add various types of taxes on a product/service using Add a Component option. Here, you can set a display name for the tax rate and multiple tax components for the same.

Example:

  • Click on Save button.

Apply tax rate to account code

To apply tax rate:

  • Navigate to Xero Panel >> Accounting >> Advanced >> Chart of Accounts

  • You may click on an account code that you need to apply the tax rate to. For example, if you want to apply tax rate to Account Code ‘200’, then go to account code 200 and click on Edit.

  • You will see a checkbox below. Here, tick mark on Enable payments to this account checkbox.

  • Apply tax as required, and click on Save.

Add currency in Xero

To add currency:

  • Navigate to Xero Panel >> Organization Name >> Settings >> Currencies

  • Click on Add Currency. Now, a pop up will appear. Select the preferred currency here.

  • Once you select the currency, relevant exchange rate will appear below.

  • Click on Add Currency button. Your currency along with exchange rate will be updated in the list as shown in the screenshot below.

Add Item (Product/Services)

To add an item:

  • Navigate to Xero Panel >> Business >> Product & Services

  • Click on Add New Item tab.

  • Fill the required details. Refer screenshot below.

Edit Item form details:

  • Item code: Add your RackNap plan ID here.

  • Item name: Add your plan name here.

  • I purchase this item: Add your order related details here.

  • I sell this item: Add your invoice related details here.

  • Click on Save.
