Where is the reconciliation file in the Microsoft CSP portal? How can I verify my usage there? Also, what to do if Azure unbilled usage is not reflecting in the cloud automation platform?
Location of reconciliation file in the Microsoft CSP Portal
To get the reconciliation file:
Login to CSP Portal.
Navigate to Dashboard >> CSP >> Billing.
Under Billing, there are 2 tabs:
Recurring
Recurring and one-time purchase USD
Select “Recurring and one-time purchase USD”.
Select the ‘Year’ and ‘Month’ from the tabs below.
Download the “Daily rated usage reconciliation-xxxxxx-closed” sheet.

Verify your Azure usage
To verify the total usages amount:
Login to CSP Portal.
Navigate to Dashboard >> CSP >> Billing.
Under Billing, there are 2 tabs:
Recurring
Recurring and one-time purchase USD
Select “Recurring and one-time purchase USD”.
Select the ‘Year’ and ‘Month’ from the tabs below.
Download the “Daily rated usage reconciliation-xxxxxx-closed” sheet.
On the downloaded sheet, apply a filter based on the EntitlementId Name field.

8. Now, you need to sum the column “BillingPreTaxTotal”.
9. Now, apply the formula to verify the total usages amount.
The formula: BillingPreTaxTotal = (EffectiveUnitPrice* PCToBCExchangeRate)* Quantity
Note:
In the automation platform, if in master setting, azure billing calculation field is set as unit price, then the calculation will be done by the unit price.
BillingPreTaxTotal = (UnitPrice* PCToBCExchangeRate)* Quantity
Steps to take if Azure unbilled usage is not reflecting in the Cloud Automation Platform
To view the Azure unbilled usages:
Login to CSP Portal.
Navigate to Dashboard >> CSP >> Azure Spending.
Under Azure Spending, there are 2 tabs:
Azure
Azure Plan
Here, you can see the current estimate.
Note:
If in the current estimates, the value is 0, then the unbilled usages won’t reflect in the automation platform.
