How to migrate customers and their services from CSP portal into the Automation Platform?

The MSCSP migration module is used to migrate the customers and their services from CSP portal into the automation platform.

To facilitate understanding the document is divided into two:

  • Tier-1 Process

  • Tier-2 Process

Tier-1 Process

Under Tier-1 the process to migrate service provider end client and its services into the automation platform has been explained.

Points to Remember while migrating service provider customer and their services:

  • MPN (Microsoft Partner Network ID) is not required.

  • This module is used to migrate service provider end customers and their services.

  • LPO (Last Purchase Order) number is not required.

To migrate customers:

- Login into the automation platform.

- Go to Settings.

- Select MS Office 365 Products under Products/ Services tab.

- From the MS Office 365 Products page, select MS CSP Setting.

- This will open a new page with MS CSP Setting.

- Select Tier-1 from the Tier Type dropdown.

- Click on Save.

- From the MS Office 365 Products page, select MS CSP Data Migration option given at the top of the page. (Reference screenshot)

- This will open a new page with details of the customer name/company and the related services.

- From here, select the customer who was not migrated and fill all necessary details - Username, Currency, Date, and Status - whether Active, Inactive or Closed.

- Below the customer, you will find the details of his services. Fill the necessary details like - Plan, Billing Date - Start and end date, Quantity, Billing Cycle, Customer Order Amount and Customer Renewal Amount. Tick the Generate Invoice checkbox yes, if you want an invoice for the service.

- Once done, click on Update.

- You will get a message on the top of the screen if the customer registration is successful.

View customer

To check the created customer:

- Go to Home.

- Click on Customers List from the Client drop-down - Home >> Client >> Customers >> Client Details Alternatively, you can directly search the client through his subscription ID username. (reference screenshot below)

- Click on Products and Services tab (screenshot above). By clicking on a service, you will see the details like - Service details and the Microsoft Subscription Detail.

- Here, you will find the details of the products and services.

- Click on Invoice tab (screenshot above). You will see the recently created invoice here. You can also verify the amount from here.

Tier-2 Process

- Go to Settings.

- Select MS Office 365 Products under Products/ Services tab.

- From the MS Office 365 Products page, select MS CSP Setting.

- This will open a new page with MS CSP Setting.

- Select Tier-2 from the Tier Type dropdown.

- Click on Save.

- From the MS Office 365 Products page, select MS CSP Data Migration option given at the top of the page. (Reference screenshot)

- This will open a new page with details of partner’s end customers.

- From here, select the Customer who was not migrated and fill all necessary details - MPN ID, Username, Currency, Registration Date, and Status.

- In the service detail, select the Plan, Billing Date - Starting Date and End Date, Quantity, Billing Cycle, Reseller Order Amount, Reseller Renewal Amount, Customer Order Amount, Customer Renewal Amount. Tick the Generate Invoice checkbox yes if you want to generate the invoice of the service.

- Once done, click on Update button at the bottom of the page.

- You will get a message on the top if the customer is created successfully.

View customer

- - Go to Home.

- Click on Customers List from the client drop-down - Home >> Client >> Customers >> Client Details Alternatively, you can directly search the client through his subscription ID username.

- Click on Products and Services tab . By clicking on a service, you will see the details like - Service details and the Microsoft Subscription Detail.

- Here, you will find the details of the products and services.

- Click on Invoice tab. You will see the recently created invoice here. You can also verify the amount from here.
