Manage Software Product Families

Overview

Home >> Settings >> Assets >> Software Product Family

To access the software product family section:

-          Go to Settings.

-          Select Software Product Family in the Assets section.

In the software product family section, all the details about the software product families created by you are listed in the below given sequence.

-          Product Family Name – Product Family Description

  • Add a New Software Product Family

Home >> Settings >> Assets >> Software Product Family >> Add Product Family

To add a new software product family:

-          Click on the Add Product Family button.

-          This will open the Add Software Product Family window, as shown in the screenshot below.

-          Enter the product family name and the product family description.

-          Click on the Save button.

  • Edit a Software Product Family

Home >> Settings >> Assets >> Software Product Family

To edit a software product family:

-          Click on the Edit icon located in front of the software product family which you want to edit.

-          This will open the Edit Software Product Family window.

-          Make the desired changes in the software product family details

-          Click on the Update button.

  • Delete a Software Product Family

Home >> Settings >> Assets >> Software Product Family

To delete a software product family:

-          Click on the Delete icon located in front of the software product family which you want to delete.

Product family whose products have been added in Assets cannot be deleted.

Manage Software Product List

Home >> Settings >> Assets >> Software Product Family >> Software Product List

To access the Software Product List section:

-          Click on the Software Product List button in the Software Product Families section.

In the Software Product List section, you can manage all your software products under relevant Product Families.

The details about each software product is listed in the below given sequence, under the relevant Product Family:

-          Product Name – Product Description – Price

  • Add a New Software Product

Home >> Settings >> Assets >> Software Product Family >> Software Product List >> Add Software Product

To add a new product to the software product list:

-          Click on the Add Software Product button.

-          This will open the Add Software Product window, as shown in the screenshot below.

-          Choose the Product Family for the new software product from the dropdown list.

-          Enter the product name and other details in the respective fields. (Take help from tooltips placed against the fields).

-          Click on the Save button.

  • Edit a Software Product

Home >> Settings >> Assets >> Software Product Family >> Software Product List 

To edit a software product:

-          Click on the Edit icon located in front of the software product whose details you want to edit.

-          This will open up the Edit Software Product window.

-          Make the desired changes in the details of the software product.

-          Click on the Update button.

  • Delete a Software Product

Home >> Settings >> Assets >> Software Product Family >> Software Product List

To delete a software product:

-          Click on the Delete icon located in front of the software product that you want to delete.

Products in use cannot be deleted.
