Manage Hardware Product Families
Overview
Home >> Settings >> Assets>> Hardware Product Family
To access the hardware product family section:
- Go to Settings.
- Select Hardware Product Family in the Assets section.
In the hardware product family section, all the details about the hardware product families created by you are listed in the below given sequence.
- Product Family Name – Product Family Description

Add a New Hardware Product Family
Home >> Settings >> Assets>> Hardware Product Family >> Add Product Family
To add a new hardware product family:
- Click on the Add Product Family button.
- This will open the Add Hardware Product Family window, as shown in the screenshot below.
- Enter the product family name, add per unit price of the hardware in the currency in which it is purchased (INR/USD) and product family description.
- Tick mark Show in Structure to show this product family in Server/VPS/Cloud structure in Products/Services section. Untick if it’s not needed for creating Server/VPS/Cloud structure.
- Click on the Save button.

Edit a Hardware Product Family
Home >> Settings >> Assets>> Hardware Product Family
To edit a hardware product family:
- Click on the Edit icon located in front of the hardware product family which you want to edit.
- This will open the Edit Hardware Product Family window.
- Make the desired changes in the hardware product family details
- Click on the Update button.
Delete a Hardware Product Family
Home >> Settings >> Assets>> Hardware Product Family
To delete a hardware product family:
- Click on the Delete icon located in front of the hardware product family which you want to delete.
Product family whose products have been added in Assets cannot be deleted.
Manage Hardware Product List
Home >> Settings >> Assets>> Hardware Product Family >> Hardware Product List
To access the Hardware Product List section.
- Click on the Hardware Product List button in the Hardware Product Families section.
In the Hardware Product List section, you can manage all your hardware products.
The details about each hardware product is listed in the below given sequence, under relevant hardware product family:
- Product Name – Product Description – Price

Add a New Hardware Product
Home >> Settings >> Assets>> Hardware Product Family >> Hardware Product List >> Add New Products
To add a new product to the hardware product list:
- Click on the Add New Products button.
- This will open the Add Hardware Product window, as shown in the screenshot below.
- Choose the Product Family for the new hardware product from the dropdown list.
- Enter the product name and other details in the respective fields. (Take help from tooltips placed against the fields).
- Click on the Save button.

Edit a Hardware Product
Home >> Settings >> Assets>> Hardware Product Family >> Hardware Product List
To edit a hardware product:
- Click on the Edit icon located in front of the hardware product whose details you want to edit.
- This will open up the Edit Hardware Product window.
- Make the desired changes in the details of the hardware product.
- Click on the Update button.
Delete a Hardware Product
Home >> Settings >> Assets>> Hardware Product Family >> Hardware Product List
To delete a hardware product:
- Click on the Delete icon located in front of the hardware product that you want to delete.
Products in use in the system cannot be deleted.
