Manage DC Rack Types

Home >> Settings >> Assets >> Datacenter >> Datacenter Rack Type
To access the datacenter rack type section:
- Click on the Datacenter Rack Type button in the Datacenter section.
In the Datacenter Rack section, you can manage different rack configurations for your datacenters.
- The details about datacenter rack type is listed in the below given sequence.
- Rack Name/Number – Rack U (Standard measuring unit for racks) – Rack Description

Add New Datacenter Rack
Home >> Settings >> Assets >> Datacenter >> Datacenter Rack Type >> Add Rack Product
To add a new datacenter rack type:
- Click on the Add Rack Product button.
- This will open up the Add Datacenter Rack Type window, as shown in the screenshot below.
- Now, from here, go to Inventory >> Hardware >> Add
- Here, you have to add the hardware product.
- Select Datacenter Name, Vendor Name, OEM, Product Family as Rack, Product name, bill invoice number, PO number, price and other required fields.
- Click on the Save button.

- Now, from here, go to Settings >> Assets >> Datacenter >> Datacenter Rack
- Click on Add Rack on the Datacenter rack page.
- Fill the Datacenter name, Datacenter Floor name/number, Room Name/Number,Row,Rack Name/Number and Rack U..
- Click on the Save button.
After completing all the above processes your rack is ready to mount the servers.
Edit Datacenter Rack Type Details
Home >> Settings >> Assets >> Datacenter >> Datacenter Rack Type
To edit the details of a datacenter rack type:
- Click on the Edit icon located in front of the datacenter rack type that you want to edit.
- This will open the edit datacenter rack type window.
- Make the desired changes in the datacenter rack type details.
- Click on the Update button.
Delete Datacenter Rack Type
Home >> Settings >> Assets >> Datacenter >> Datacenter Rack Type
To delete a datacenter rack type:
- Click on the Delete icon located in front of the datacenter rack type that you want to delete.
