Bundle Plans

Overview

In Bundle Plans section, multiple plans can be added and sold as packages. Here, the service providers can create, edit and delete different Product Bundles.

How to configure a bundle plan?

Home >> Settings >> Products/Services >> General Product Settings >> Vendor >> Product Name >> Product Plan

To create a bundle plan:

  • Go to Settings.

  • Under Products/Services tab, click on Products & Pricing.

  • Select a product type or add new product type.

  • Now, choose a vendor or add new vendor.

  • Similarly, choose a product name or add new product name.

  • A form will appear after you click on “Create Plan” button placed at the top right section of the dashboard.

  • This form will contain details of the plan along with a checkbox, named Bundle Plan. Tick mark the checkbox to make the plan as bundle.

  • Click on Save.

  • A tab named, “Bundle Products” will appear on successful creation of plan. Here, you can add products to bundle.

To add more products in bundle:

  • Under tab named “Bundle Products”, click on Add More Products button. Here a form will appear with details as explained below:

  1. Product Type: A list of all the product types available in admin will appear which from which suitable product type needs to be selected.

  2. Vendor: A list of all the vendors based on the selected product type will appear.

  3. Product Name: A list of product name based on the selected vendor will appear. If “Domain” is selected in Product Type, then Product Name option will disappear.

  4. Product Plan: A list of all available product plans will appear. Here, plans for which payment type is free or have an active trial period will not be shown. If “Domain” is selected in Product Type, then the Product Plan option will disappear.

  5. Primary Plan: Select this option to make the plan primary for this bundle. There can be only one primary plan for a bundle plan. After you choose a primary plan:

- You would not have an option to upgrade a service.

- The plan would automatically become a non-detachable plan. (Also explained below)

- If you suspend/terminate/cancel a primary plan, then all the services purchased in bundle order will be

suspended/terminated/cancelled.

6. Data Center: This dropdown comes in action when VPS, Cloud or Dedicated Server product type is

chosen. Here, associated data centers available with product plan are shown.

7. Platform: This dropdown comes in action when VPS, Cloud or Dedicated Server product type is chosen.

8. Detachable Plan: Tick mark this checkbox to make the plan as detachable plan in bundle. After you

choose a detachable plan:

- If you suspend/terminate/cancel a detachable plan, then there won’t be any impact on complete bundle

order.

9. Sort Order: Enter a numeric value to set the sequence order in which the plan will be shown on

marketplace.

10. Apply discount on renewal: Below the form, there are text boxes to enter the discount on the purchase

of plan. So, check this checkbox to apply those discounted rates on renewal of this service.

11. Discount Type: Choose from two options – Fixed Amount and Percentage, to calculate the discount on

the price.

12. Discount as per currency and billing cycle: After completing all the details of form, you need to enter

the discounts which need to be given to the user on purchasing of this plan in a bundle.

- The discount can be added on currencies available in the system.

- The discount can be added for billing cycle as per plan. If it is a domain plan, then billing cycle changes

on a yearly basis.

If you select an MS Office365 service, the addons available with Office365 plan will also get listed below the form. There is a checkbox below the name of addon to make this addon available to the user for purchase on marketplace. For addons, below are the form fields that you need to fill:

1. Discount type: - Choose from two option – Fixed Amount and Percentage, to calculate the discount on the price.

2. Sort order: - Enter a numeric value to set the sequence order in which the addon will be shown on the marketplace.

3. Discount as per currency and billing cycle: - After completing all the details of form, you need to enter the discounts which will be given to the user on purchase of this addon in a bundle.

- The discount can be added on currencies available in the system.

- The discount can be added for the billing cycle as per plan.

Bundle plan on the marketplace

Here you will see all the plans which were added and configured in the master of bundle plan.

  • These plans will display in sorted order as configured.

  • User needs to choose quantity, billing cycle and enter domain/hostname for every plan to proceed further for the purchase of the bundle.

  • The prices shown for the plan are after bundle discount. The discount is calculated by the discount type method set in master for this plan in the bundle.

  • User must fill all the mandatory details to proceed to cart.

Order process for the bundle plan

To process an order for a bundle plan:

  • Go to bundle marketplace.

  • Choose quantity, billing cycle and domain/hostname for the plans available.

  • Verify the amount from “Your Order Summary” section on right side of the dashboard and then click “Add to Cart” button.

After clicking on “Add to Cart”, the quantity or billing cycles can’t be changed.

  • For logged-in users discount coupons can be applied in cart. If an internal coupon is available, it will be applied on total value automatically.

  • The price shown on the cart is shown with tax if a user is logged in.

  • After verifying the total amount, click on the Next button at the bottom to make the payment.

  • Choose the payment method.

  • After completion of payment, a success message appears, and respective emails are sent to the user.

  • Email has details of payment received, invoices created and setup details for product purchased.

  • If there are any login details or links to any administrator area for purchased plans, that will also be provided in one single welcome mail to the user as all the plans are purchased as one.

Bundle plan in order and invoice

Go to admin panel, and choose orders/invoices from the menu under the Billing menu tab.

Bundle plans with all items that were purchased are shown here. At the top, name of bundle is shown and under that, the products purchased are shown which are indented to right.

If there are any more products purchased with the bundle, then they will be shown starting from the border line.

When we open an order or invoice detail, bundle plan name is shown at top and products purchased are shown indented to right. Here, the individual price of the products purchased will be shown. If any coupon was applied on a bundle that is also shown here and the discounted price is displayed.

The invoice can be downloaded in PDF form. This will show bundle plans, the items included in the package. If other plans are purchased, details associated with the plans will be displayed as in admin panel.

Bundle plan in customer recurring

  • Go to customer profile section.

  • Click on “Product/Services” tab. All the services purchased, including bundle plan will be listed here.

  • The bundle plans purchased will be shown under a collapsible tab with bundle name in title of tab bar. The list of services will be shown as below:

First payment amount and the recurring amount will depend on the configuration made in the bundle plan setup.

·         First payment amount will be the same which was shown on the marketplace after bundle discounts.

·         The renewal amount shown in products/services list depends on the bundle plan set up for that service. If the user checks the “Apply discount on renewal” checkbox, then renewal amount to be paid will be shown after bundle discount. If the user unchecks the “Apply discount on renewal” checkbox, then renewal amount will be the same as set in plan configuration.

The renewal amount excludes the setup fees.

  • Click on “Domains” tab. Here, all the domains purchased in a bundle plan will be listed.

  • The bundle plans purchased will be shown under a collapsible tab with bundle name in title of tab bar. The list of domains will be shown as below:

Bundle plan renewals

The process of bundle plan renewals will be similar to the process followed for all the services or domain in the automation platform.

Also, any discounts available in renewal will be applied too. The renewal amount will be calculated after applying the bundle discount as mentioned above.

Bundle plan suspension/termination/cancellation

The process of suspension/termination/cancellation of the bundle plan will be similar to the process followed for all the services or domain in the automation platform.

If a user chooses primary and/or detachable plan in bundle settings:

  • Suspension/termination/cancellation of product plan set as primary/non-detachable plan will suspend/terminate/cancel all other services/domains of bundle order. Here, the services/domains set as the detachable plan will not be affected.

  • If a user tries to suspend/terminate/cancel a primary/non-detachable plan of the bundle, an alert message is shown to inform the user that the same status will be updated on all other services/domains of the bundle order. Here, the user can cancel the action or confirm to proceed.

Bundle plan in customer panel

Bundle plan in customer panel will be listed similarly as shown for other services or domains. All available activities can be performed, and no functioning is disabled for plans purchased under a bundle.
